Sunday Worship
At Weymouth , all three of our morning services present truth from God's Word, offer opportunities for worshipping God, and are designed to fulfill the mission of the church. However, each service has its own "flavor":
8:30
If you value a solid traditional church experience, you'll love the hymns and classic Bible preaching offered at 8:30. Weymouth has a rich, 170-year heritage that is reflected and celebrated during this time.
9:45
The mid-morning service picks up many of the elements from the 8:30 experience but adds in a bit more interaction, prayer, and "community" feel. The emphasis is more on teaching and praise. Children's Sunday school and nursery care are available during this service for all ages.
11:00
If you're still growing in your basic understanding of the faith (you're seeking to know more about God), the 11:00 option might be just right for you. You'll find it has a more contemporary flavor overall, and the messages communicated use non-churchy language and focus on how to apply the Bible in daily life. Children's church and nursery care are available during this service.
Is the content of the services the same? Often it is, but sometimes you'll find some variety in teachers, topics, or artistic elements. Generally, Pastor Bob leads the 8:30 and 9:45 services, and Pastor Dan leads the 11:00 service.
We try to create welcoming atmospheres and real-to-life content that will inspire, motivate, and educate. Feel free to try any or all of our services to find the best "fit" for you!
Not sure where start? When you arrive at the church, look for someone with a "Guest Services" badge, or head downstairs to the Information Table. Let them know that it's your first day at Weymouth, and they'll be glad to show you around. Typically, it's good to arrive 5-10 minutes before service time.
