Fun Activities for Singles, Couples, and Families

One of the best parts of being involved in a church is the relationships you can build with others who share your desire to seek God. Aside from our Sunday services and our Midweek Ministry, Weymouth has plenty of "extra-curricular" fun for everyone. Here are just a few samples of the things we do throughout the year:

Home Fellowship Groups. These small groups meet in people's homes on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to study the Bible, enjoy meals together, and make new friends in the neighborhood. If you'd like to find out about "HFGs" in your area, contact our office.

Fall Harvest Party. We have an old-fashioned harvest party each September, complete with horses and food and contests and prizes!

Progressive Dinner. A great way to meet other couples is to share a meal in their home -- but how about eating in four different homes on the same night, with all different people! It's a fun "mixer" activity that is sure to leave you with a few new friends (and a few more pounds, but, hey, it's all for a good cause, right?)

Monthly Ladies' Fellowship. Ladies come together once a month for interesting and new things - to volunteer for good causes, hear experts on fun subjects (like faux painting or sewing) and do service projects. It's a great time to get to know other ladies and make a difference! They also have a monthly breakfast at Alexandris Restaurant in Medina.

Vacation Bible School. Kids enjoy a week-long adventure each summer that includes crafts, songs, games, stories and more. As summer vacation approaches, watch the weekly church bulletin for details.

Mission Trips & Camps. For kids, teens, or adults, we have options in the summer for trips around America or even overseas -- some for fun and some for the purpose of helping others, sharing the message of Jesus, and more.

All-Church Potlucks. Here and there we'll come up with an excuse to have another big meal together -- a good time to test-drive that new recipe your Aunt Lula told you about. Usually these happen Sunday just after church.

Service Projects and Outreaches. A great way to involve your whole family in making a difference is to participate in serving others. We're always planning new ways to do this, so stay tuned for details.

And, there's more. Ladies' Teas, Men's Football Outings, trips to the park, book discussion groups, church workdays, prayer meetings, talent shows...you get the idea.
